The team, led by Pekka Leskinen, DBS Managing Director Finland welcomed key customers to the new Service Centre, where they received a tour and found out more about the site’s capabilities. We also showcased our state of the art condition monitoring system, GearWatch with a demonstration of the new hardware.
GearWatch is a smart, compact and value-adding tool for predictive remote process equipment monitoring. It can be tailored to your operating parameters and is monitored by our team of experts. This is condition monitoring with a difference, unlike other products available, GearWatch uses an oil particle counter to continuously monitor the condition of the gear unit. Early detection of potential gear unit failures up to a year in advance, allows the user to plan maintenance activities around operational requirements.
The service centre’s resources will enable the team to provide a wide range gearboxes services, including workshop and field services throughout the power transmission lifecycle. Creating employment opportunities for Tornio and widening our reach and ability to service customers in all parts of Finland.
Pekka comments, “It was a pleasure to welcome our customers to the opening of our new service centre in Tornio. We are excited to share the site’s capabilities, particularly GearWatch which offers something unique to our customers”.
