Travel Requirement:  Extensive Domestic Travel (Approx. 65%+)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious, technically capable, and commercially driven Sales Manager Indonesia to drive aftermarket gearbox service and repair opportunities across Indonesia’s mining and minerals sector, including both mobile mining equipment and fixed plant operations.

This is a high-impact role suited to a motivated “hunter” sales professional with strong relationship-building capability, technical aptitude, and a proven track record in aftermarket business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow aftermarket sales opportunities across Indonesia within the mining and minerals sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, OEMs, EPCs, agents, and service partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while supporting and growing existing accounts.
  • Promote David Brown Santasalo gearbox products, repairs, and service solutions to customers across mobile mining and fixed plant applications.
  • Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals, and commercial opportunities to secure profitable business.
  • Work collaboratively with internal engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver strong customer outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer engagement records within CRM systems.
  • Achieve sales growth targets and contribute to the continued expansion of the Indonesia business.


About You

  • Proven experience in aftermarket sales or business development within the mining, minerals, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Strong hunter mindset with a proactive approach to identifying, pursuing, and winning new customers.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills.
  • Technical understanding of rotating equipment, gearboxes, or industrial equipment preferred.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote/home-based role.
  • Commercially driven with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Experience managing both existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
  • Fluent in Indonesian and English.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively throughout Indonesia.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 12-15 years’ experience in aftermarket sales, account management, or business development.
  • Experience within the mining and minerals sector across Indonesia is essential.
  • Degree or diploma qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Sales, Business, or related discipline preferred.
  • Experience using CRM systems, SAP, Salesforce Cloud, and Microsoft Office applications advantageous.
  • Experience with gearbox products, rotating equipment, or industrial power transmission solutions highly regarded.

  • The role is focused on aftermarket service and repair solutions within the mining and minerals sector.
  • Other industrial sectors may be added as the business continues to grow.
  • This position is offered on a local package only.
  • No relocation, housing, or expatriate benefits are provided.
  • Open to all nationalities currently based in Indonesia with full fluency in Indonesian and English.
