DBS' Global Capital team present innovative gear system at key exhibitions in the Cement and Mining Industry
The global Capital sales team at David Brown Santasalo have recently participated in two key exhibitions over the summer months, where Business Development Manager, Ruben Salinas had the opportunity to promote our FD-Drive gear system.
IEEE/PCA Cement Conference
The first of these key events was the IEEE/PCA Cement Conference in Dallas, Texas, where Ruben delivered an insightful and lively discussion into the FD-Drive from David Brown Santasalo. The FD-Drive is a Permanent Magnet Motor/Planetary Gear and is the most efficient power transmission solution in the world today with a motor technology and gear that offers the best power-density in the smallest footprint package, especially in larger high-power ranges from 1MW up to 10MW and above!
To support the forward-thinking FD-Drive gear system presented to delegates, Ruben wrote a Technical paper entitled Electro-Mechanical Grinding Challenges: Next Generation of Gear Technology Offering Power Transmission Solutions for a Sustainable Future, which was available to those attending his presentation.
This presentation was invaluable in providing exposure in one of the main global markets and regions of North & South America. The presentation was a huge success, with Ruben receiving several requests from interested parties to engage and collaborate further on the FD-Drive product line solution.
Electric Mine Conference
The next stop for Ruben was the Electric Mine Conference in Tucson, Arizona, USA, where he was joined by colleagues from our global Capital team, which included Frank Kassing, Ville Vehkakoski, Guillaume Luck and Frank Tervort.
At this conference, Ruben delivered another lively presentation, entitled Next Generation of Drives – FD Drive , Sustainable solutions for high torque applications in Mining. In addition to Ruben’s speaker slot, the team had an exhibition booth, where they were delighted to connect with industry peers from across the Mining sector, as we focused on New Business Development for our DBS Capital Product lines, in particular the FD-Drive due to its innovative and sustainable qualities.
The team took the opportunity to not only promote the FD-Drive further, they also showcased our complete range of Aftermarket services available from our Salt Lake City Service Centre in Utah, USA. The team also shared our range of brand-new, tailor-made gear systems, which are built to each customer’s individual specification and requirements.
The event was a huge success and we look forward to continuing our participation in the 2024 exhibition, which will see the event take place in Perth, Australia. The exhibition organisers are particularly interested in sharing our unique and innovative solutions for the Mining industry to future audiences.
