DBS India mark commission of new paint booth and inauguration of Unit II building!
David Brown Santasalo is pleased to announce the successful commissioning of a new side draught dry-type paint booth at our manufacturing facility in Hosur, India, which was celebrated along with the inauguration of the new Unit II building. This new installation is a significant enhancement to our in-house capabilities and environmental compliance in India.
The six week installation project included the setup of a paint booth, a 5 ton overhead crane, an air compressor, and all necessary electrics. The booth itself measures 5m x 4m x 3m, providing a great space for efficient and safe painting operations.
The Orange Category certification, awarded by the Tamil Nadu Government Pollution Control Board, was granted following a comprehensive inspection of the facility. This recognition confirms our adherence to environmental standards and reflects the effectiveness of our new paint booth’s design. Its side draught dry-type configuration plays a crucial role in pollution control, incorporating advanced air filtration and waste management systems to minimise environmental impact.
This upgrade brings real advantages for both our team and our customers. With this new unit now certified under the Orange Category, we’re able to carry out painting operations and store chemicals and oils directly on-site. This has helped us streamline our processes, reduce turnaround times, and take greater control over quality and delivery, resulting in a more refined and responsive service for our customers. It also creates new opportunities for skilled painters within the workshop, supporting future gearbox projects and strengthening our overall manufacturing capabilities.
