Paul Davies, MP for Colne Valley UK visits David Brown Defence’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
David Brown Defence (DBD) were delighted to welcome Paul Davies MP for Colne Valley to our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Park Works in Huddersfield UK, where he had a tour of the facility and met with the DBD team.
During his tour of our manufacturing facility Paul had the opportunity to meet some of our fantastic Apprentices, who shared an insight into their apprenticeship course and what they have learned from their time with DBD. In addition he also saw a variety of our gear systems in the build process, and the results of modernisations that have been made to our infrastructure and capabilities over the last few years. For example, new test facilities and new machinery to improve efficiencies.
The gear systems produced at our manufacturing facility are extremely complex military platforms which take years to engineer, manufacture, assemble and test. As with our recent audience with Harpreet Uppal, MP for Huddersfield, we relished the opportunity to showcase our capabilities and how recent investment into the business will not only strengthen our ability to complete this work but will also create over 100 jobs over the course of the next year.
