Job Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our UK senior engineering team to be based at our site in Huddersfield. Acting principally under the direction of the Engineering Director - Delivery you will use your knowledge and experience to coordinate the activities of the Marine, Land Defence, Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial design teams. You will provide hands-on leadership to the engineering, test and development and manufacturing teams focused on developing and improving design and manufacturing processes, efficiencies, and overall throughput. Supporting the bids and proposals process and coordinating input to the business of future contracts and project variations you will collaborate with the engineering group, clients and other functional teams in decision making that will deliver business value, understanding any trade-offs.
A proven ability in co-ordinationing engineering resource in support of large / complex programs (Defence preferred) is required with significant experience in creation of performance metrics and driving successful outcomes. To be considered for the position we are looking for 5 years’ experience of managing complex engineering programs through design, development, manufacture and test.
