- - Particle counter continuously monitors the condition of the gear unit. Providing clear information of the wear process and of any early stage damage in the gear wheels and bearings
  - Online oil particle counters are typically placed to the side flow of the pump-filter-unit of the gear
  - Particle counter is also available for splash lubricated gear units in an integrated package with offline filter system, providing longer lifetime for the gear units with cleaner oil
  - Inductive sensor detects both ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic particles and is immune to air bubbles and other dust in oil
  - Minimum particle detection size starts from 70 µm with ferromagnetic particles and counted particles are classified according to their size to different classes. Sensors also measure the temperature of the oil
